Second show of the tour is tonight at Vassar. Took a cab to Grand Central Station so I could catch the 2:45pm train going to Poughkeepsie. The architecture here amazes me every time I see it. Such a New York City icon.

When Tim Gunn, the host of the American reality TV show Project Runway visited the family of finalist fashion designer Irina Shabayeva, he gave a toast that viewers hadn’t heard on any previous episode: “To the American Dream!” Born in the Republic of Georgia, Irina’s family immigrated to the United States when she was young and Shabayeva studied fashion at New York City’s prestigious Parsons School of Design, graduating in 2003.
