Now they have been released and they are a big hit: McDonald’s Japan made a new record for sales in one day –  over 2.8 billion yen a day.(That article is via Google translation, so sorry for the poor grammar.)

Wow, McDonald’s U.S should release Japanese burgers like this! Wasabi and chicken burgers, sukiyaki burgers… How about rice burgers?! Or release Texas burgers in the U.S., too?

But my American friend said it really sucked. So I have no plan to try it. Anyway, I heard from tomorrow to middle of February, some McDonald’s shops in Tokyo will start giving away free fries and free champagne. You can have as many fries and soft drinks as you like. One of the shops is the Yoyogi shop. I guess I will find a lot of posts on Japanese web sites tomorrow saying, “I TRIED IT”.

In 11th, A “picking up trash sport” event was held in Yoyogi park. It’s a new sport where you compete to see how much garbage (by weight) you can pick up within a certain time limit. I like this idea and I hope this sport gets more popular in Japan.

I didn’t know wiki has a “Tsundere” page. Wiki said this is a Japanese concept of a character archetype which describes a person with a conceited, irritable, and/or violent personality that suddenly becomes modest and loving when triggered by some sort of cause (such as being alone with someone). For example, a girl who has a sharp tongue sometimes changes her attitude and becomes sweet. I read voice actress Rie Kugimiya acts as a Tsundere character very well. And people who love her tsundere character very much are called “Kugimiya Disease”… She released Tsundere Karuta and it had good sales. Here is a video from YouTube. She is just complaing, but some people can’t resist it. What do you think?
