When I wanted to get in the dancing mood on Saturday, I downloaded this new track. And wow, it was still working for me on the walk to the subway on a hungover Monday morning. And it’s still working for me at the end of a long day. It’s the new single, “Restless,” from Portugal’s Buraka Som Sistema — a band our own Iggy blogger Ben Herson has written about before.
They’re proponents of Koduro, a form of Angolan street music, and the group also known as BSS produces dance jam after dance jam.
Below, listen to “Restless” via YouTube or download an mp3 of the re-mix of their track “Kurum,” which dropped TODAY. It will appear on the new Fabriclive 49 album which also features tracks from Diplo, Major Lazer, and others.
